The singer Ahmed Gallab records under the name Sinkane, making music that blends electronica, funk, and psychedelia - with occasional echoes of his East African roots. The Sudanese-American bandleader and his group, also called Sinkane, now have six albums out and recently made their network debut on Conan. Tomorrow, they’re doing a free lunchtime show at Brooklyn’s Metro Tech Commons.
